Taaron missed his show last night. And I am really sorry. I'll be back next week though, with an awesome guest... which
I'm sure who it is, and this week he even has a theme song! Can you believe it?! He composed it all by himself.

I record all of the shows too! So you can listen to it if you missed it! His last show is still up for download. On it, he talked with his older brother about their favorite movies. He also avidly blogs check out the mic-five blog!

Hello again.

My show this Thursday (April 15th) will be a "Funky Reggae Party". It will be a short overview of some of the music that originated in Jamaica, so you'll hear ska, rocksteady, reggae, dub and DJ toasting. If you don't know what toasting sounds like, you'll have to tune in to hear what some music historians claim helped shape the beginnings of rap and hip-hop. Jamaican music has had a huge influence on all kinds of popular music, and this show will introduce you to those influences.

Thanks for tuning in!

For my first blog entry, I just wanted to let everyone know that I will be doing a special edition of The ABYSS on Monday, as I have the day off of work. Please join me for some post-Morning Meltdown madness (not really, this show will be a mix of downtempo, hip-hop and electronica).

I will also be dubbing it up with Dave on Thorium Sericulture this Tuesday night from 6-8 P.M., and I'll be in my regular Thursday slot (8-10 P.M.) this week. This week's show will be "an excursion on the version", and will feature remixes and extended versions of songs from the 70s to the present day.
