I just spent a week in Minneapolis taking two courses. They were very fine but staying indoors for 8 days, working from 8 am to 7:30 pm and riding back and forth across the country in more air conditioned vehicles (airplanes) was pretty stressful.

We are made to walk on the earth and breathe fresh air. At least I know I am and anything less creates hardship in my being. In this case, I was in a room with 70 people who came from about 40 different countries, from all over the world. It was a very international scene. I caught some kind of weird swelling in my throat that made me deaf in both ears. I was extremely sick for one day and spent it in bed but then it was only the sore throat and the deafness that was the problem. Very unnerving. Finally my left ear released and I could hear from it but my right ear stayed deaf for most of a week. I finally got rid of it by going to the sauna daily for about five days in a row and simply baking myself as hot as I could stand. That has always worked to get rid of infections in my system and it worked again this time. I interspersed that with treatments from a little TENS unit plus an infared laser plus no end of energywork.  Thankfully it got better, but that was a very scary experience. I am not ready for deafness. I really could not hear anything in a room full of people. It would sound very loud and noisy but I couldn't pick out any words, nor hear my friend speaking to me from across the table.

So I have resolved to never do a trip like that again. It was a way too much left-brain activity and not nearly enough grounding outside on Mother Earth. It was a painful and scary experience, but I learned a lesson I will not forget.
