One of the most humbling moments in the past three months on Wit'suwit'en territory was a Sobriety Feast. This event was held in the Multiplex's small feast hall and was organized by the Moricetown Health Centre. Anyone demonstrating a desire to remain sober was celebrated, and family and friends attended to show their support.

Moricetown is a small but courageous village, whose members view strong community as a priority and who encourage each other at times when the natural inclination is to forsake. I am proud to call these people my neighbours and friends.
