What is the Smithers Community Radio Society
The Smithers Community Radio Society is a volunteer-powered, non-profit organization that operates CICK 93.9 FM from the historic Central Park Train Car in downtown Smithers. Through community radio, live performances, festivals, and media production, we create opportunities for local voices, artists, and organizations to share their stories, music, and ideas. From daily broadcasts to events like Lounge Car Sessions and Deckfest, we celebrate the people, culture, and creativity of the Bulkley Valley.
Mission: A uniquely styled nonprofit volunteer produced radio and arts cultural engine focusing on inclusivity, sustainability, partnerships, innovation, and fun.
We are certified by the CRTC to broadcast at 50 watts using the call sign of CICK and frequency of 93.9 FM.
