Twenty years ago, the United States and as an extension our North American world changed. This album was released a week after the twin towers fell. The story has been told, how Wilco had this album gifted to them by their old record label who deemed it too un-radio friendly and not what "America" needed- only to be resigned by essentially the same label. The album became a cult classic among bands you know, and in my books, is up there with any Velvet Undergound album. You had to be there, and now you are. Twenty years later it's still magical- Wilco's 2001 Yankee Hotel Foxtrot- and pet shout outs, on this week's Smithers Pet Sounds.
