Lounge Car Session Artist Bio: Gabbie Cournoyer is an emerging artist inspired by the lyrical prowess and vocal stylings of Feist, Lucinda Williams, Joni Mitchell and Patsy Cline. Inspired by folk and country traditions, Cournoyer takes an honest approach to songwriting recounting stories of love, loss, struggle and redemption with a raw vulnerability. Gabbie was born in Hazelton, BC  and grew up on the prairies of Alberta, immersed in country music, and the sounds of her father playing classic folk and blues standards. Her music continues to draw heavily on those early influences.  Now based in Nelson, BC, Gabbie Cournoyer is carving her way into the local music scene, having just released a new single in July called Changing My Mind.
