No Exits, part 3b

When Charlie Burrell noticed an increase in the number of hungry and homeless in his town, he began feeding them in a parking lot. Today, his organization The Humanity Project offers food and shelter, with an eye to also providing help for addictions and mental health supports in future. And its all done through community donations. Last week, Charlie talked about how The Humanity Project got its start and the relationships he builds with the homeless, making it easier for them to reintegrate into a more normal life.

In this episode, Charlie talks about the farm purchased on behalf of the Humanity Project, and how he believes some tiny houses will offer the vulnerable a safe space to establish habits that will get them out of the homeless mindset.
