Program:

Misguided Persecution, with Patty Kolesnichenko

One of the many creatures making their annual spring appearance are those annoying small insects that interrupt evening BBQs. Mosquitoes, gnats, no-see-ums. You know what else is making an appearance? Bats. Most people dislike—and even fear—bats at least as much as the annoying insects, and yet the reputation is totally undeserved.

Patty Kolesnichenko is a passionate bat educator and an ambassador with the Kootenay Community Bat Project; she's also a community educator with CBEEN’s Wild voices for kids program. Together, we’re going to attempt to change your mind about these astonishing little mammals.
