Elijah Larsen Bicycle infrastructure should be colour-blind

In recent days, I’ve been increasingly concerned about the rise of racist attacks in North American cities; it reminded me of an interview I did last year for Totally Spoke’d, with a young lawyer named Tamika Butler, who hopes to address inequality and inequity in bicycle infrastructure.

Tamika was the Executive Director of the Los Angeles County Bicycle Coalition from 2014 to 2017 and currently she’s currently the Director of Planning for California, and Director of Equity and Inclusion at Toole Design Group, a planning, engineering and landscape architecture firm. She is now the Principal and Founder of Tamika L. Butler Consulting where, through consulting, training, and public speaking works, she shines a light on inequality, inequity and social justice.
