Book Club in The Pub! Just in time to wrap up Family Literacy Week, Melissa Sawatsky from Smithers Public Library chatted about Smithers' newest book club BOOK LOVERS NIGHT OUT. Two unique things about this club are: 1) the meetings take place in pubs and lounges and 2) they often have themed dicussions that allow those attending to read any book within a theme. Preparing us for the February Book Lovers Night Out theme of Romance, Melissa offered us a deeply intimate reading from the book When I Was Young and In My Prime by Alayna Munce. Host Colleen shared a funny essay from her personal collection of books called "Dear Amanda" that is part of the book Pure Drivel by Steve Martin.
