We are listening to neuroscientist, Candace Pert and her audio book, Your Body Is Your Subconscious Mind. Part of it is an interview with Tami Simon from Sounds True discussing the subject. She says the old paradigm that the brain controlled everything in the body, just isn't true. We have receptors all throughout the body as well as in the brain, and our body is our subconscious mind. Which means our societies heavy focus on left brain activity has not really helped us at all. She urges us to be more creative and to take more time for ourselves instead of focusing so heavily on all work and all the stuff that the rest of the world wants us to do. Take time for your creative self. Learn to meditate regularly. Exercise and walk. Eat healthier. Listen to music. Enjoy yourself more. Commit to having more fun with your life on a regular basis.
