The first of a two-part series entitled Built to Last, featuring Chamber member BV Agricultural and Industrial Association, or the BVAIA. We’re going to focus on the Smithers fall fair, and more precisely, Grandpa Boonstra’s tractor collection.

Jan McClary of the BVAIA talks about our annual fall fair and how popular John Boonstra's tractor collection is with fairgoers. Then, a very homey conversation with Grandpa Boonstra on his tractor collection, and a bit of the history of tractors generally. And finally, some comments on the definition of the word economy, with Regional District of Bulkley-Nechako director Mark Fisher.

This double episode is dedicated to the memory of Ruth Lloyd and Andy Stalker, two lifelong supporters of the Smithers fall fair.
