Elijah Larsen CICK 93.9 FM is proud to be your community radio station

Showcasing the 40th annual National Community Radio Conference, which I attended June 1-3 in Kingston, Ontario on behalf of Chamber member CICK Smithers Radio. Hosting the conference is the National Campus and Community Radio Association, and a campus and community station dear to my heart, CFRC-FM at Queens University. This year, CFRC is celebrating 100 years of radio and one of their most distinguished guests was Shelagh Rogers, a Canadian broadcast journalist and the host and producer of CBC Radio One's The Next Chapter. And, a CFRC alumna. Also on this episode, you’ll hear from Alex Freedman, the Executive Director of the Community Radio Fund of Canada, and the MC at the Radio Conference Gala. But first, Glen Ingram, the Station Manager at CICK, Smithers Radio and a presenter at the conference.
