Program:

Connect With Birds: Save the Earth: a two-part series on the wonderful world of birding.

In this first part, I speak with Graham Sorenson of Birds Canada, who was my introduction to bird surveys, specifically the Nortunal Owl Survey, which I did with Ken and Theresa White in April 2021, along Lawson Road. We'll hang out with Ken and Theresa next week and hear more on that.

Birds Canada is a non-profit, charitable organization built on the enthusiastic contributions of thousands of caring members and volunteer Citizen Scientists, like me. Their mission is to conserve wild birds through various actions and science-based advocacy. Staff and volunteers reside all across the country, but their national headquarters is located in Port Rowan, Ontario, connected to the Long Point Bird Observatory.

And in this episode, Graham will recommend some of the many ways you can get involved, and unleash your inner birder. Coolio!

You can follow Graham directly on Twitter at Graham Sorenson @LifeOnWing
