The Smithers Library is inching closer to moving into a new space as preparations for the new Smithers Library continues to upgrade the old Heartstrings building on Third Avenue. 

The town of Smithers acquired the Heartstrings building, last year and is now going through a planning process to redesign the inside of the building to be the new library. A project the Smithers Library Board has been fundraising for more than 20 years.

Wendy Wright is the Library Director for the Smithers Public Library and today gives us an update as to how the preparations are going.
