Today on CICK NEWS, we hear from Sean Sharpe about the wonderful magic of the Sandhill Cranes. Every year, the squawk of the sandhill crane can be heard thousands of feet in the air, the skilled high soaring birds have even been known to fly as high as 28, 000 feet, almost as high as Mount Everst.

They are one of the telltale signs of spring here in the northwest on route to the lower Yukon, with a quick stop over in the Kispiox Valley. If you’re lucky enough to hear that far away sqauak, look up and you might catch a glimpse of these special high altitude flyers. All that and more coming up with Pam’s interview with Sean Sharpe.

And I touch base with my good friend Sarah Railton in Terrace. She’s the principal forester with her company Naiad Stewardship Solutions Inc. Which has been working on a healthy watersheds initiative project to rehabilitate salmon bearing creeks and streams in Terrace in partnership with the Province Government.
