Earth Day celebrations are starting to ramp up across the world as we mark the 56^th Earth Day in 2026. More than 1 billion people are expected to attend earth day events tomorrow to advocate for a cleaner, healthy future for our home planet.

In Smithers and across the Northwest, communities are coming together to mark the occasion, and today we speak with Jeremy Shriber one of the organizers in Smithers about how people can get involved with events and what they can do every day to help the earth flourish.
