The Schuss Boomer Downhill ski races is one of the last community recreational ski races in Canada. This past weekend the Schuss Boomer marked 39 years, almost 40, and it was one of the biggest yet. Hundreds of racers from the Bulkley Valley and beyond donned costumers and sleek, skin-tight racing suits, all vying to be the fastest skier on the hill!

I had the pleasure of digging into the sights and sounds of the 39th annual Schuss Boomer, on the famous Twinkletoes run on the North side of Hudson Bay mountain.
