Pam speaks with BC Minister of Housing, Ravi Kahlon, Dan checks-in with the BC Housing community information session held in Smithers. Some residents expressed support for the proposed 40 unit Supportive Housing facility, while others, including adjacent property owners, expressed concerns.

Although this is at least the third iteration of such a proposal in the past year, and it would be at least two more years before any beds are available, it looks like BC Housing is on track to develop this project, if their rezoning application is approved by town council at the end of February.

It's still early days in the planning process, but there are still mixed feels about the proposed site and the impact to the neighbourhood.
