Opposition MLA for Skeena, Claire Rattee is on the program today to talk about her ongoing advocacy to pressure the provincial Government on policies pertaining to safe supply drugs in B.C.

Recently the government of B.C. decided to end their safe supply practice in dealing with the toxic drug crisis in this province. After years of trying to find a way out of crippling drug overdoses in B.C. and mounting deaths the government announced it would end take-home safe supply after leaked internal Health Ministry slides revealed a "significant proportion" of prescribed opioids were being diverted and trafficked in B.C.

As of January 1st, those receiving prescribed opioids will have to take them under supervision, something Rattee and other health professionals have been saying is long overdue.
