4 piece post grunge band's debut LP. Focus on lead singer, Ellie Rowsell's gentle vocals combined with crashing drums and intricate bass lines make for something different, yet instantly approachable and fun to listen to. Swings from sumptuous sprawls to ear-sizzling riffs. Songs are somewhat Jekyll and Hyde as they can start atmospherically and end with psycho-grunge thrashing. Wonderful stuff.
