One part moody, atmospheric music underneath plaintive almost sleepy singing of well-written lyrics and one part shuffling folk/alt-country/indie pop. All things said, this is a well-crafted album from an established artist, with plenty of layers to listen to and watch for. Beautiful stuff. IMO, Hayden shines brightest on his slower tunes (tracks 1, 4, 7, 13).
