Solo-debut from Nate Mendel (bass player for foo fighters/sunny day real estate/fire theft). Help from Joe Plummer(Shins) and production from Toshi Kasai (Melvines, Helmet). Album features guest appearances by Page Hamilton(Helmet), Josiah Johnson (Head and the Heart), Chris Shiflett(foo fighters). Has a string-sweetened chamber-folk sound that broaches Weezer like power-pop(#4). Album drags a bit, but a couple tracks stand out.
