Review:
Pete Johnston's (Muskox) See Through Trio features the double bassist alongside pianist Tania Gill and alto saxophonist Karen Ng. All nine of its compositions are credited to Johnston. The intricate melodic lines coursing through don't sound all that far removed from the kind of material that's on Ornette Coleman's first albums(textura). Look for modern improvisational jazz similar to 1960's free jazz movement.
