If Mavis Staples and The Black Keys had a child and Sharon Jones were the Auntie, it would sound like Samantha Martin. She's at home in a wide range of roots styles, but she hones in on soul, r 'n b and gospel on this EP. All five songs were recorded live off the floor in a single day at Lincoln County Social Club, and the backing vocals of Amoy and Ciceal Levy beef up the sound.
