Voice is part velvet, part gravel and bursting at the seams. Payne's approach to lead singing is coloured by plenty of experience as a supporting musician, playing second fiddle (literally) to Dylan Ireland in Peterborough duo/band Express and Company. Performed by Michael Boguski (Blue Rodeo), Anna Ruddick (Ladies of the Canyon), Graham Walsh (Holy Fuck) and Dylan Ireland (exclaim). Country/folk with that ranges from twang to upbeat folk.
