Follow up to their 2011 debut, this double cd features original improv jazz at its best. The Montreal/NY collection of artists are very good and the recording is quality. The first cd, Cosmic Brahjas, is a creative but listenable venture into improv. jazz that features Brahja's alto sax and Shadrach Hankoff on the piano while the 2nd cd, Closer to the Tones, swaps the piano for a Tenor Sax (Adam Kinner) which comes off as less creative but still very enjoyable.
