As Kitselas First Nation nears Federal and Provincial recognition of their Treaty, neighbouring nations are not happy with how the process has unfolded. This week Gitxaała issued a statement calling for a pause to all Kitselas Treaty negotiations, “until free, prior, and informed consent can be given, and protocol agreements can be made with B.C. and Kitselas.
