Over the past several months a number of Main Street businesses have closed up shop. Mountain and Meadows as well as Sedaz Lingerie and ReJar have all closed their doors sighting growing challenges in business, especially retail. Not surprising given that around 60% of Canadians purchase their cloths online these days, according to Canadian fashion statistics last year.

But what does this mean for the future of retail business in Smithers?
