Ortega has scaled back the country (though still there) and put together a somewhat sinister concept album with a certain sonicness and maturity that I haven't heard from Ortega before . Track 1 reminded me of Ennio Morricone meets Danny Elfman. An enjoyable listen from front to back. I think this might be the album I've been waiting for from Lindi Ortega.
