Original 3 members are also part of God Speed You Black Emperor. Members include Efrim Menuck, violinist Sophie Trudeau, bassist Thierry Amar, violinist Jessica Moss and drummer David Payant. Sound is "laser-guided and bone-rattling meld of hardcore, blues, garage and dark metal influences" (bio) but do not describe them as post-rock as the band has always rejected. Think GSYBE but with vocals. Making protest music since 1999. LP is high point for the band.
