2nd solo effort from lead singer of Death From Above 1979. Album is adrift in synth-pop disco lines and retro dance-grooves, possibly tricks gleaned from his new local scene in L.A. The decision to move south has clearly influenced several tracks with heady musings on lust and love dominating a fair share of the rest. Not exactly visceral, but unabashedly sincere (Newcanadianmusic.ca). Plenty of 80's dance throwbacks. First half of album better than last.
