Review:
Montreal 5-pieces' first record. This album has a playful austerity to it, with a raw jammy feel, that moves around until it finds catchy hooks to keep listeners constantly immersed and nodding. Clean guitar tones feel fresh, while unhinged and imprecise spoken word melodies casually lay down thoughtful phrases, that lead the music to epic terrain. This is lyrical music that isn't afraid to be sloppy, like the velvet undergrounds best imitation of sonic youth. AWESOME!
