The atmosphere at large is bleak. Dying suns and screaming children stock the sides of the record, making for a captivating trip into the heart of a wintry darkness. The album restlessly experiments with a wide array of recording approaches. First half of album is quiet man-alone-with-guitar-in-the-wilderness while 2nd half features assorted instruments, scratchy recording quality and monotone vocals. Interesting stuff.
