Review:
Kacy Anderson and Clayton Linthicum's 2nd release. No studio tricks or glossy productions here. A poignant collection of trad. and original songs that harken back to simpler times. The Cherry Tree Carol (#1) is one of the oldest songs in the Eng. language. Sparse and compelling as a well sung hymn. The sound is primarily echoey harmonies, simple guitar picking/strumming, and sometimes autoharp, fiddle and pump organ. Think early blues and Appalachian mountain music.
