Review:
Rich tender vocals with smart accompaniment of banjo, guitar, slide steel and inventive percussion. Influence of Lhasa de Sela is very evident (especially #3). Writing retreats in Marfa, Texas helped steep this album in wide open skies and philosophical cowboys. Melancholy tempo.
