Review:
Ignore the cutesy hearts. Mayfield grew up in a musical family, playing bluegrass and Americana folk. She earned her chops playing acoustic music but this album gets a bit grungy and nods . Reminds me a bit of 90s bands like Garbage and her vocal style is vaguely reminiscent of Emily Haines. Pretty good stuff.
