The Civil Wars’ John Paul White and Joy Williams have been on hiatus since Nov. 2012 due to “irreconcilable discord,” but they’ve still been putting out accumulated material. Cover of the late Elliott Smith’s “Between The Bars” was released fall 2013. Other songs on the EP include Portishead’s “Sour Times,” Michael Jackson’s “Billie Jean” and The Romantics’ “Talking In Your Sleep.” Minimal instrumental backup and focus on vocal harmonies.
