Review:
Vangaalen is calling this his "country album," which translates to: weird-lo-fi-freakout-noise-folk, plus occasional lap-steal. Vangaalen has stores of thousands of songs that he has recorded in his Calgary home, complete with home-made instruments, and eccentric vibes. His albums sew together disparate themes from this vast catalogue, and often feel scattered. That said, even as tracks move from garage rock to delicate folk to noisey freakouts, all are highly worthy.
