Review:
Tanzanian-Canadian singer/songwriter 2nd release. The perky Brilla manages to embody a mix of pop, jazz, calypso, reggae, and even a dash of blues and impulsive acoustic ballads. Was signed to Lava Records/Universal Republic when she was 19 but decided to release this album independently for artistic control. Nice use of brass instruments. Simple but hook filled songs give her a top 40 sound.
