Crossing the line between trip-hop, electro, RnB, and shoegaze, Tei Shi (Valerie Teicher) is one of those up-and-coming stars who are currently making music that fits with current trends and popular music while still retaining a rawness and honesty that makes folks like us actually consider playing it. Sometimes her voice/singing style gets a bit annoying (to me) but it's got that whole NY "I don't give a sh*t what you think" thing going on so it still works.
