This is a decent R&B album, with a distinct lack of self-glorification known by others of this genre. It is a grimy disk that swings between soulful melodies and almost indie rock jams. I noticed this also had an unusual absence of machismo-style, dominating sex lyrics which seems to be the norm for other artists with similar musical style. It is actually a pretty good album, and it has some unique sounds to boot.
