Instrumentation differs dramatically from song to song from folk ballad to Balkan-esque foot stomper. Toeing the line between lush, orchestral folk and gruff, rough-and-tumble blues (thanks to his growly voice) (Exclaim). There is a dark edge to the lyrics that makes it more interesting.
