Hustle, Bustle & Flow

The University of Northern British Columbia (UNBC) in Prince George has received a record amount of funding for research grants this year - CFUR’s Ian Gregg cashes in on the scoop.

CICK’s Dan Mesec (Smithers) talks to BC Wildlife Federation Executive Director about the $1B potential investment in BC ecosystems development.

Loni Taylor from CKTZ (Cortes) discusses short term rental taxation for Quadra and Cortes home owners – a typical side hustle that many islanders use to keep their costs down and help keep roofs over students, visitors and contract workers heads.

The city of Revelstoke is considering a new policy for mobile home owners, called the Manufactured Home Park Redevelopment, Residential Tenant Protection and Strata Conversion Policy, the purpose of which is to mitigate displacement of mobile home park tenants due to development. Owning your home, but not the land, creates a precarious living situation for mobile home park residents, which this stratification process is meant to mitigate. Stoke FM's Meagan Deuling has the scoop.

After a season of injuries for The Nelson Leafs, they make a trade to shake the tree and see what falls, Scott Onyschuk from Kottenay Co-Op Radio has the scoop.

This episode was hosted and produced by Pamela Haasen.
