The bonfire explosion at a New Years Eve party just outside of Smithers has rocked the community. Two boys are still suffering from serious injuries and four other teens have suffered significant injuries as well. The town has had to respond quickly. Evy McKay, Mark Dehoog and Amy Stokes are on CICK News today.

The town of Smithers Director for Community Services Will George contacted CICK News to share the word about the Emergency Warming Centre erected on January 10th to protect the town's most volunerable population during this intense cold snap with temperatures falling as low as -35 celsius.
