Hi Culture Lovers,

Have you listened to ART BEAT yet?  It's a weekly Arts and Culture interview show that features local artists and musicians, a variety of culture topics and also tries to connect with art news in British Columbia, Canada, and beyond.

Almost a month ago I left Canada for an unprecedented adventure in Aruba. I am here housesitting, getting to know local artists and musicians, and to learn Aruba culture.  It's an amazing place and I wanted to share it with you. Plus there is a very real connection between Smithers and Aruba. Listen to discover it!

Today on ART BEAT hear my interview with 2 of Aruba's top art curators who call themselves CURATORS ON THE GO, aka Michiko Takatsu & Eduardo Valbuena Oduber.

I helped Curators on the Go when they curated their 7th annual art exhibition for the Caribbean Sea Jazz Festival.  In the background as I  interview with one of Aruba's most famous artists, Mo Mohammed, you'll hear the live music from Caribbean Sea Jazz Festival including famous American guitarist and headliner Mike Stern, dizzy trumpeteer Franklin Granadillo and Jazz vocal sensation Roberta Gamborini.

Check it out, today, Friday 9 October 3pm Vancouver time Streaming live on smithersradio.com
