Independent Radio fans. Summer is here and your CICK volunteers have been hard at work.

Here is your CICK 93.9 FM news update for July 2011:

New Website:
- check it out at www.smithersradio.com
- you can now enter your events you want read out on air using an online form
- simpler live stream of CICK link

Summer interns:
- we received a grant from the Community Radio Fund to take two high school students and have them do a bunch of stories for North West at Noon program. Keep your ears on at noon on Monday to Friday to hear their hard work. For example, have you ever wondered who owns the shoe house on Kitseguekla Lake Road?

New radio shows:
- check out Lightening Guitar Monsters, a father/son duo featuring Perry and Ari (5yrs old) who will spin tunes of all kinds. Tues 3-4 and Wed 4-5pm
- On Sundays at 8-10pm, check out Sounds of Fury, a post rock, post metal, post whatever music show featuring DJ Jon
- On Wed and Fri. at 3-3:30 check out Lorraine's Porch Talk. Lorraine talks about all the things that she can't squeeze into her column at Interior News.
- If you like Dance Dub, check out SLOB on Sundays at 2-4pm and repeated on Fridays at 10pm.
- This Album Goes to 11 - is a show featuring plays of full length albums by your host Dan. Check it out on Sundays at 7pm.

Finally, we will be having new schedules printed up for you to pin to your fridge. You can find them at your local coffee shops by July 19th.
