Story Time & Mother Goose

Story Time and Mother Goose at Smithers Public Library - Winter 2012

It's that time again! Beginning the second week of January, Mother Goose and Story Time are back in action. All programs run for 10 weeks and there is no charge. Please contact the library at 250-847-3043 or contact@smitherslibrary.ca for more information or to register.

Adult Ballroom Classes at Creative Roots

Come out and learn the Waltz and Jive, Rumba and Foxtrot with adults in the Bulkley Valley! A fun and high energy class for beginners to advanced ballroom dancers. A great way to spend time with your special someone!

The class runs for 15 weeks from 7-8pm at Creative Roots' Elk's Hall in Smithers starting Thursday February 2nd. $330 per couple for the entire session.

"Sacred Headwaters, Sacred Journey" - photography exhibition at the Smithers Art Gallery

The Smithers Art Gallery's February exhibition, "Sacred Headwaters, Sacred Journey", showcases photography by award-winning wildlife/environmental photographer Paul Colangelo. This exhibit is touring North America and comes to Smithers following Mountainfilm in Telluride, CO, and Banff Mountain Film Festival.

The Smithers Art Gallery is now taking registrations for its new series of art workshops for the community being held in February and March 2012!

Choose from: Watercolour with Anne Havard, Mask Making with Linda Stringfellow, Platter Making with Susan Clay-Smith, Life Drawing with Britt Sanborn, and Silk Painting with Lori Knorr.
