Smithers Art Gallery: May Exhibition
The Smithers Art Gallery's May exhibition, "Out on a Limb", is a group exhibition by Terrace artists Noreen Spence, Dianne Postman, Micky McCulley and Judy McCloskey, showcasing the artist’s paintings based on ordinary photographs of the extraordinary local landscape we share.
BC Community Forest Association Conference
Wetzin’kwa Community Forest Corporation is honoured to host the BC Community Forest Association Conference in Smithers on May 23, 24 and 25, 2013.
Smithers Mayor challenges Terrace Mayor to see which community can achieve the highest participation in Bike to Work Week 2013.
Bike to Work Week kicks off on May 27th and runs until June 2nd. The goal of the week is to encourage and celebrate active transportation in Smithers.
Smithers Mayor Taylor Bachrach has put out a challenge to Mayor Dave Pernarowski to see which community can achieve the highest participation levels.
Bulkley Valley Cattlemen's Field Day June 1st
The Bulkley Valley Cattlemen are hosting a Field Day on June 1st at Lemieux Creek Ranch (20264 Morden Road in Quick) from 10am to 4pm. Info on manure spreading and GPS in morning, and then equipment demos including power harrows, tractors & manure spreaders in the afternoon. Lunch by donation.
